The Island of Hope

Not far from the capital of Washington, tucked between the ever-growing suburbia and Squaxin Island sits the unassuming island of Hope.  Sculpted by the tides and currents of Hammersley and Totten inlets for thousands of years this small state park, Hope Island, offers visitors the chance to see wildlife such as bald eagles, harbor seals, river otter, deer and starfish.   Join us for a nice paddle and walk around Hope island's beaches, tide pools, old farm and fruit trees.  This paddle starts and ends at Boston Harbor, just west of Olympia.  See you there.
