Blake Island Totem PoleChief Seattle Paddle

Blake Island, the once ancestral camping ground of the Suquamish Indian tribe, and possible birthplace of Chief Seattle, is now home to a well developed Washington Sate Park and cultural treasure of Tillicum Village Native American Center.   Sandy beaches, sweeping views of the Seattle skyline, harbor seals, bald eagles, deer, otter and plenty of trails provide an ideal location to spend an evening, a day, or even a night of paddling.   Conveniently located just a 35-minute ferry ride from west Seattle, this paddle is the quintessential Northwest paddling experience.
