What's new with Anew

Northwest Weather

I'm water logged, and if you're around the Washington area I'll bet you are too.   As I'm sure many of you know November of 06 is arguably the wettest month in Washington's recorded history with 15.63" at SeaTac Airport.   All of this rain has caused everything from devastating flood damage at Mt. Rainer National Park (take a look) to record snowfall totals in the North Cascades, where 12' of snow was recorded in 7 days.   So you might be asking, "What does this have to do with What's New With Anew?"   The short answer is it's transition time here at Anew.   We've broke out the skis and winter parkas and have been out sampling all that old man winter has to offer, and let me tell you, he's offering a lot...

Notes from the Field

A Change of Pace - MEXICO

As many of you know (or experienced), November is a difficult time of year to be a Pacific Northwesterner.   Grey skies, cold temps, and plenty of precip keeps even the most motivated outdoor enthusiasts hunkered down indoors.   John and I have endured our fair share of Novembers and our recent wedding provided us with the perfect excuse to escape to the warm, white beaches of Mexico.   While traveling at the tail end of hurricane season provided us with our fair share of rain, body surfing, Coronas with lime before noon, amazing food and snorkeling in crystal blue water kept us pretty distracted.
