What's new with Anew
Spring Fever
Spring is in the air; rivers are rising, birds are chirping, the snow is slushy and the sun is gracing us with its presence more frequently. If you are experiencing spring fever, then perhaps you should treat it with a paddle to Blake Island or a day float on the Yakima River. The seasonal transition is here.

Notes from the Field
Loretto Mexico
By Adrienne
In February John and I traded in ski boots for flip-flops and headed south with our family on an exploratory trip to an area outside the small Mexican town of Loretto. Located on the Sea of Cortez in southeastern Baja, Loretto is home to some of the most stunning scenery and expansive marine life the Baja Peninsula has to offer. We stayed at Danzante, a quaint, eco-friendly resort owned by a wonderful couple who go out of their way to make sure your stay is one to remember. The resort sits on ten secluded acres, offering a wide variety of recreational opportunities, including sea kayaking, horseback riding, hiking, and snorkeling. After a full day in the salty, sea air we were treated to an authentic Mexican meal, served family style and prepared by a fun, chatty group of local women. We said our good-byes after 6 relaxing days and informed our hosts that we would be back, feeling that we had only skimmed the surface of what this tiny resort has to offer.
Stay tuned for possible Anew Outdoor trips to Loretto in the future.
