What's new with Anew

April Showers

The Northwest is a special place to be this time of year.   After a particularly long, grey winter most Northwesterners are bursting at the seams with the anticipation of longer days and warmer weather.   It is not uncommon to see Seattlites walking through the streets in flip flops and tank tops on a "balmy" 60 degree day.   Needless to say, spring fever is here!   If you've caught the bug, we've got the cure.   Check out our upcoming events.

Notes from the Field

The First Float

John has been monitoring the webcam of Fish Lake for the past two months.   The first sign that winter's icy coat was beginning to melt away immediately put him into action.   Fly rods were strewn across the yard, tackle boxes were neatly organized, fishing line was spooled and licenses were bought.   Countless hours were spent after work preparing the drift boat for it's first float; our evenings were filled with sounds of drills running, saws cutting and paint spraying.   After all the work was done, John would come in, sit down and check the webcam one more time.   It wasn't until two weeks ago that the momentous occasion finally occurred.   A grin spread across his face as he stared at the image on his computer, a loan kayaker on the glassy waters of Fish Lake, fly rod in hand.   It had happened, fishing season was here.
